Re: Power - Voltage too high ?
开云体育That will certainly work, you'll get a whole lot of x6100 run time with 18Ah... The voltage is good (but make sure the charger is turned off in the radio to reduce heating).? But, depending on your objectives, I'd bet the capacity is excessive (only a problem if the added weight and size is an issue for your use case...) I use a homemade 4S (12.8V) LiFePO4 4.5Ah battery and the x6100 will run for a few hours of POTA with that nice, relatively light, fist sized battery. Re: X6100 release of v1.17, adding support for wfview
About FW1.1.7 & CAT Control
This might work.
On client PC which is running WFView after connecting to X6100, Enable RigCtl & set port 4533.
In WSJT-X on the same PC, set Rig to Hamlib NET rigctl, Network server: localhost:4533
Audio set to PC’s speaker & mic.
CAT Control works on my PC. I don’t have good antenna to test so could someone test if WSJTX really works this way? crazycats100 |
Re: ALC 100 and NO TX output (AFT5M31N) LDMOS [SOLVED]
No TX power [SOLVED]
For the benefit of all users, this how I fixed my X6100 which showed 100ALC no TX power. I was using the radio as normal on CW and the TX power became intermittent. Then gone in a few more seconds. In this thread I have documented many tests, voltages and items that @Real and I discovered and other people helped us look at.? Shortly after the failure, I noticed that switching the RX ATT on actually allowed the TX to work again (this was tried and worked several times .. odd!)? After a few attempts the TX power failed and never came back. I tried flashing and refreshing many firmware - nothing worked.? Yesterday I removed the AFT final output FET transistor and it was obvious now that something was wrong. On my radio version there was some type of rubberised compound or gasket around the FET and heatsink. The heatsink PUSHES though the PCB onto the BACK of the FET. The Source of the FET is held against this heatsink which is also a connection to the PCB. The Drain and Gate are soldered directly (the two tabs on the FET).? The gasket had clearly melted or the adhesive failed and lots of clear sticky substance had flooded under the FET between the heatsink. The Source of the FET (back plate) was lumpy and sort of corroded really... I used alcohol and a small file to clean and dress both the FET and the heatsink to make a clean mating surface.? Re soldered the FET back into the radio and it worked first time perfectly. The radio is remaining at a normal temperature and I have full TX power restored.? I am now using FW 1.1.7 and that is working perfectly along with WFSERVER all working great.? SO for my radio, the output was not broken. I tested the FET on a breadboard using a DDM meter by charging the gate with the diode mode and observing the drain src conduct. Touching the gate with my finger discharges the gate and current stops flowing. Hope this helps Scot M0RWV? |
Re: ALC 100 and NO TX output (AFT5M31N) LDMOS
Hi Real, I have fixed the radio.!!
I removed the FINAL and tested it in a jig. It was not faulty. There was a lot of sticky melted glue on the heatsink to the back of the FET. I cleaned with alcohol and a file. I reseated the FINAL and toughened the heatsink. The radio is now perfect!. Speak soon 73? Scot M0RWV |
Re: X6100 release of v1.17, adding support for wfview
Hi ua3mlu
as you can contact xiegu Can you please ask them to put the cat back to how it was as it does not work with HAM RADIO DELUXE, old or new Versions, i have tested both and it does not work with Bluetooth android app Prxtx, That did work very well, Yes keep wfview, Thanks Dave 2E0DMB |
Re: Power - Voltage too high ?
开云体育Se escribe mucho sobre la PWR y el calor. Creo que todo es más sencillo.Para QRP (5w) VCC= 9 volts
Para 10 W VCC= 10 volts
Siempre No Charge.
Saludos. Diego. EA1CN

Hi i now have tested v1.17 with wsjtx and yes CAT does work with my radio but i did want to use it with Ham Radio Deluxe for pc ,and pocket rxtx for Android?
so if any new firmware updates come out, i suppose this new cat control will be the same Dave? |
