¿ªÔÆÌåÓýBeen there, done that with G90 and GSOC. Now I have a 5105 I hope to sell tomorrow at the Cincinnati Hamfest and a 6100 just for kicks.I keep saying no more Xiegu but still get drawn back in, like Michael Coreleone.? Nick Marsh WB4SQI

I have also tested cat control in Bluetooth, this is no longer working, I hope they do fix this issue As all are useful, Dave On Fri, 11 Aug 2023, 13:58 Nick Marsh, <nmar@...> wrote:

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýWow Dave, with all the other un-fixed problems you are certainly remaining positive with Xiegu. They have a lot of work yet to do but release new firmware that doesn¡¯t alter any of the existing issues. That should tell us something about Xiegu thought processes.Nick Marsh WB4SQI

Re: X6100 release of v1.17, adding support for wfview
do1hfs is correct, with this new firmware, they have broken USB CAT control, Yes wfview using WiFi now working, but you can not use say ham radio deluxe using the USB port, I hope they will fix this problem, I will test with Bluetooth, Thanks Dave 2E0DMB On Fri, 11 Aug 2023, 05:53 do1hfs, <do1hfs@...> wrote: USB CAT is not running in Firmware 1.1.7 |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýSo if there are new C-IV codes do we have extra functionality of the new codes over CAT? (assuming if we turn of WFServer CAT works as normal?) ? Peter M0PWX ? ? From: Roeland Jansen, PA3MET

Re: ALC 100 and NO TX output (AFT5M31N) LDMOS
Hi Real,
I am so happy you have fixed the radio!? I also have flashed the new Xeigu fw 1.1.7 from the cqxeigu website but it has not fixed my problem, and so I will await the arrival of my new final transistor before continuation.? I have downgraded and then re-upgraded the FW versions.? I notice on careful testing that the TX current of the radio is momentarily higher also, and then drops quickly. (like chirping). The voltage on the gate of the output FET is similar in behaviour. Once I replace the final I will update this thread. Hopefully it helps some people. If your radio lives on or does not please let me know Amigo! 73 Scot M0RWV? |

Re: ALC 100 and NO TX output (AFT5M31N) LDMOS
Real Drouin
Hi Scot
my x6100 had the problem of alc 100 and no power output while plugged in CAT control and in FT8 mode, I believe the cat control crashed my radio,
I took the measurement of the AFT5M31N with my multimeter, it seems to me to be good, I replaced the AFT5M31N and my tests were always negative (alc100 no power). I said to myself I will wait for a new version of the firmware.
I must have been lucky with firmware 1.1.7 now the radio transmits very well, I'm afraid to use the CAT to crash my radio again!
I did nothing special
I flashed several firmware version
I replaced the AFT5M31N
and I flashed version 1.1.7 which luckily solved the problem. |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýSo are there any fixes included in the firmware? (none listed in readme.txt) ? If not no reason to download unless you want wfserver? ? Peter M0PWX ? ? ? https://www.cqxiegu.com/productinfo/790911.html

The thing about having fewer birdies is interesting. I think that Oleg is writing the GUI only. Unless Xeigu's GUI computer is generating birdies that the radio is picking up, processing and including them in the data stream being sent to the GUI computer, there should be no difference in the two versions of GUI, I would think.
I wonder if it's possible that Xeigu is doing something in their software that generates noise via some component on the GUI computer side, like some chip or transistor or FET that's being abused that's trashing the radio? I'm pretty sure we as programmers don't have access to the radio software at all.? Interesting stuff... |
