Hi Ray,
?
You can install DB Browser (SQLlite) to view the?/usr/app_qt/xparam.db database file where the bandstack frequencies are stored. You can then delete or add items as you wish. Here is a screen copy of what you will see:
Make sure you keep a copy of the original file, although DB Browser does store a backup copy itself.? I use SFTP to transfer the file to my PC, edit it with DB Browser and then SFTP the modified file back to the x6100. A reboot of the x6100 should then read the reduced bandstack. I hope this helps, Regards, Colin M0XCA |
Re: ATU - no difference

Interesting... I have G90 and x6100 and noticed that G90's tuner was lot better in "tuning" my end fed.
Also shame that x6100 haven't got same tuner&SWR meter like G90 since it is better to see SWR value in numbers not sliders. I compared x6100, to external ATU100, ATU100 was lot better "matching" my antenna to values <1.5... My antenna is shortened version on end fed 80-10... and ATU100 was able to "tune" it even on 160m to 1.6-1.7, but still G90 was able to tune 160m lower than ATU100 did. SP9DDB -73's- |

Hi Ray,? You can edit the database come and remove the unwanted band ranges. I'll post details when I get home.? Sent from my Google Pixel Mobile. On Thu, 22 Dec 2022, 12:56 K9NUD-Steve, <k9nud@...> wrote: Hi, Ray. You can toggle between the General and Ham bandstack in the menus. |

S¨ª, seguro.
Yo lo uso as¨ª y bastante bien. La opci¨®n SWR Scan es muy conveniente. Feliz Navidad. Desde Espa?a. Saludos. Diego. EA1CN -- TNX, Dido. EA1CN |
how to delete band-presets
#firmware
hi folks
by swapping thru the bands pressing BAND buttom I have frequencies (1) I do not use (2) outside ham-radio-bands (1) at this time: no worry (2) e.g. 80m band has 2 or more presets - I Do not use more than one preset per band. How reduce / delete those entries? thanks for your kind assistance - Ray |
Re: ATU - no difference

I have noticed that usually when SWR is less than 1:2.0 ATU doesn't make any change.

Hi Everyone...
I just noticed using the 6100 that the little SWR meter showed that I was close to 2:1 on tx Long story short... it appears that the internal tuner is not making any difference. For Example, if I have a 1:6 match and it may drop it to 1:5... or no change at all. Also, the SWR scan shows a 1:1 match and the external swr meter shows 1:5 -1. I know the antenna is a flat match. The TX power output is good, no issues. The ATU is not doing its job in my opinion. Firmware or hardware issue? Otherwise the rig works great ! Any thoughts on this???? 73 Mike VE3MKX |
Re: 4 charge-discharge cycles with new firmware
#firmware
As original poster on this specific thread, I thought I would follow up with my successful experience.
First, I discovered it seems very important to exactly go through the suggested 4 charge-discharge cycles.? After upgrading the firmware, I casually started using the radio while only sometimes remembering to do a charge-discharge.? The result I experienced was that the battery indicator never successfully indicated correctly and it seemed that things eventually became so confused that the battery never charged, and was always at zero.? I eventually re-updated the firmware a second time, and exactly followed the suggested 4 charge-discharge cycles (even posting a yellow sticky note to the radio to keep track, because this took a few days).? a) Update firmware.? b) Turn off.? c) Leave it plugged in charging until full.? d) Unplug.? e) Turn on and leave it on until it turns off (overnight?) after running out of battery.? f) Four times.? I now report the successful result; all is good.? The pesky little power-on-init message does not display.? The radio holds the battery for a long time when disconnected.? The battery indicator seems correct.? All seems well.?Over 120 listen receptions on 10m JS8 and 40m FT8 over a day or so.? Next up, after the year-end, 10m JS8 xmit is planned.? It works. |
On radioditty web site use firmware dates 20221124. This fixes the battery problem with my radio. Both voltage and icon now read coeerctly. Some times I do get and idle indication on radiio. Then I just shut radio and turn back on. After the 3rd charge discharge cycle I get a box that says POWER ON INIT Please wait. and then radio is operational. |
Re: X6100 NB settings
The Noise Blanker is to remove any chopping type interference, like a popping sound from a continous pulsing signal.? Unless you have that occuring the NB will be doing nothing. Noise Reduction lowers any noise on the frequency.
