I planned on doing a color mod of 0.30.x at some point. I¡¯m currently waiting until Georgy is done making changes to 0.30.x first however. The issue i have is github is being lame as it won¡¯t let me sync / merge his updated branch unless i ¡°delete" all my previous changes. That means i have to sync his current branch, then manually add back in all my previous changes which will be a PITA and time consuming.

Thanks for info! I was suspecting that the alt f/w was being used after I posted. Issue is not a huge problem but it's a shame that is spoils an otherwise GREAT little radio. Since it is (99.9%) working I'm not going to "fix" it. Again, thanks to all...73.

Already worked stations information stored within another file (qso_log.db). You can delete ft_log.adi without loosing this information.

Well, I don't use the X6100 every day... so I'm really not interested in having the X6100 tell me if I've worked a station before.? Once the contact is imported into N3FJP, the AC Log will tell me if it's a duplicate.? I'd rather start off with a clean log file for each POTA event before I import to N3FJP.

If you must, and I have never had to do that as most online logging program will ignore the old entries, then remove the SD card and plug it into your PC.? Go to the DATA drive and delete the .adi file.? The problem is that R1CBU can show you which stations you have already worked if the .adi log is kept up to date.? That will not happen if you delete the .adi file each time.

N3FJP doesn¡¯t know how to ignore duplicate entries?? Someone should raise that as a bug.

Hardware mods, grounding

 

My 6100 is still on the way so I¡¯m only judging from pictures and videos. It seems like some of the shields, behind screen, covering the batteries¡­.aren¡¯t really grounded to anything. Are the case edges making grounded contact with the front and back ? From what I¡¯ve seen it looks a lot like the construction of the Chinese Malahit clones, the ATS25 series, Deepelec SDR101 etc. The software mods look amazing , looking forward to trying them out.?

I have a several year old X6100 in great condition.? I just recently replaced the battery, so it is like new (charged only once since replacement).? Because these radios occasionally stick in transmit, I added a mini reed switch in the battery line, hot glued to the case.? If it ever sticks in transmit, you don't have to open the case and disconnect the battery, just put a magnet by the switch, which disconnects the battery and you can reboot the radio.? Oddly, since I added the switch, the radio has never gotten stuck in transmit again.? The radio has current firmware.? Included is an AC adapter to power the radio.
?
I also have a like-new XPA-125B, used only once with the X6100 to test it.
?
Finally, I have a waterproof case from Radioddity to hold both the radio and amp (I removed all the foam so they would both fit).
?

Hi dick, found solution thanx to another member it's in settings the option mag, alc switch mag off and it disappears. Been searching for this now for 6 months, so glad I joined the group, thankyou
