I assume you think the internal battery is full by you charging it for a few hours, but this does not really tell it is charged.? If it will not take a charge with it being bad, then cannot tell by the rig display.

I would say you do have a bad internal battery.? How old is the rig???

If you power up the rig with ext power, turn on the rig and then unplug the X6100 will it remain powered up???
