I believe there are two batteries in the X6100.
My battery is also going south after about 1 year since new allowing for ?only about 30 mins of listening. Keying the mic kills it until back on a charger or 12V power supply.

However, the Amazon link shows a 3.7V battery. Is it not a 8.7 volt battery?
