Hello and thanks for picking up this project.
I have always had issues with this firmware and thought your version would fix most problematic thing in the first place which is freezing waterfall. There are moments when it works after restarting of the radio, but mostly it does not. When changing frequency with vfo, you can see things changing on wf top part, but once you stop the screen does not show any activity. The same with S meter. I believe this is also the reason why ft8 does not decode anything, only says waiting for sync, yes I do press sync button manually.
