When my internal battery gets low the voltage sign on the LCD goes from white to yellow and? to red. When I charge, the led blinks green by the power button.
I really think they made some production changes as I bought mine in September of last year and really don't have many problems at all. Sometimes the CW reader acts up but I don't do CW so.......

sorry to dig out this topic but I recently purchased this rig and behaviour is the same : no more flashing led when charger is "on" after completing 3 charging cycles ??
I'm interested in any answer about that phenomenon!
