cat control problems - cross posted to R1CBU

I have cross-posted this into the R1CBU group. I think it's not very active, so I thought I'd post it here, to see if I get any ideas.
My cat control no longer works with v19 R1CBU. I am running on linux mint:
My radio is at latest firmware revision (from Radioddity - the one that says "fix Cat")
1. I boot up as default x6100
dmesg says ttyACM0 and ttyACM1. I know that ttyACM1 is the cat control.
I go into flrig, and set my transceiver to ttyACM1 and 19200. Good to go. PTT works and CAT control works just fine.
I
reboot after putting in v19 of R1CBU, go into flrig, and choose ttyACM1
and 19200. Nothing works, no matter how many times I try it. And I've
tried 9600, 38400, and 115200. Nothing.
I boot back into default. Good to go.
