Thanks, everyone, I appreciate all of the suggestions.? Looks like no one makes a mount that attaches to the radio itself for support like the one I linked for the IC-705.? Everything mentioned here and what I've found on my own require a flat surface under the radio for the support.
Since I'd have to have the radio on a flat surface using any of those, I cobbled up a mount using a tiny camera tripod that I already own, and a 3 ft piece of coax. I won't be walking around with it but it is good enough for now.? I'll keep my eyes out for a truly portable mount and will let the group know if I find anything.
