Hi Luis, would it be possible to ask Xiegu to insert in the firmware a battery protection mode that maintains the charge around 60% even when the radio is left connected to the external power source for long periods? Inserting this control is absolutely trivial as regards the need for changes to the source code (it is sufficient to check the charge level every few seconds and activate or deactivate the recharge based on whether the level is just above or just below 60%), but this simple addition would ensure a much longer battery life.
