Getting past the Oath Advertising was my first problem, although not
why I posted. The advertising is as intrusive and flashy as a "cheap
porn site," as a Web design manual put it. It means that I am
effectively locked out of managing my account. Surely Verizon can do
better?
The real question is:
My TZ has changed from Summer time (UTC+11) to Winter time (UTC+10). I
have changed the details in the GUI several times. I have edited my
"Private directory" config file to show winter file. Every attempt to
save the details creates a new copy of the config file with the
CORRECT new circumstances. But nothing will make the change permanent
in the GUI. My details in the config are as follows:
Bendigo, Australia ; 36 45 00 S ; 144 20 00
E ; 225.0 ; EST-10EDT-11,M10.1.0,M4.5.0
I would have expected a comma, or at least a space, between EST and
EDT, but I haven't tried fiddling. The correct winter time seems to be
used, but I would be happier if the GUI was correct. Having my winter
during American summer seems to cause problems.
