compiled fine on Gentoo - but this is a working system created ~15 years ago and generally only annual updates, untweaked out of the box recent systems YMMV.? The first thing I noticed was that it seemed Faster (I never got around to testing the RC3).
Quick data checks on Favorities showed 3.7.7 computing same values as 3.7.6, now I wonder if the official Gentoo ebuild will slow it down ....
THANKS, best program for 'ephemeris' calculations, I have Favorites tweaked up enough to have a sense of the sky long before I'm looking at it.? I cannot recall not checking xephem first before any observation run.
