I think I did find an error in the R0, R1 to reference frequency table
from why back. I doesn't agree with the service manual and I got
wrong results using it. I think the correct table is
0 - not used
1 - 6.25khz
2 - 4.1666 Khz
3 - 5 Khz.
According to what I formulated in the .xls, b1 of the 3rd byte of the 3 byte set is:
0 = 5khz
1 = 6.25 khz
These seem to work/match up with the RSS's calculation for a given frequency.
I've never seen b0 change from a 1, or b6 change from a 0 in this byte for any frequency I've entered via RSS.
If these two bits have a function related to frequency/VCO control, I havent discovered it.
There is enough structure data to make a simple x32 or VM based program to read the values and modify basic frequency, PL values and scan list in an existing codeplug.
I have little practical experience in such, and would have to "bone up" on a means to write such program.
I never pursued that part of the project? as some life events occured and I had to put the whole thing on pause at the time.
