Dennis,
? Is that? /WE tied to the EEPROM or does the encryption module have it's own memory to store keys?
If the keys are written to the EEPROM wouldnt that be a potential breach if an unauthorized person read the EEPROM and obtained the keys?
I know nothing of encryption HW or FW, but I would think the KVL would spit the keys straight into the encryption HW as the radio OS doesnt know or care, other than a "route audio circuits thru these paths" command.
Like I said, totally ignorant on the subject. I've never delved into 2 way radio encryption, never had a need to consider it.
