Preliminary FD Results - WOW!!!

Specifically:

1067 total QSOS

GOTA PH 52

1910 Bonus Points

300 100% emergency power
100 Media publicity
100 Public Location
100 Public Information Table
100 Message to SEC
100 10 messages originated
100 Alternative power
100 W1AW Bulletin
100 Educational Bonus
100 Visitation by Agency rep
100 GOTA Coach
100 Social Media
100 Safety Officer
100 5 youth participation
50 Web submission
260 GOTA Bonus (52x5)

Total points (projected) 5,666

Place (projected)? Top 11.6% of 3A class

By comparison, last year we had 992 QSOs for 4,336 points and top 19.1% OF 3A.

I've also attached a spreadsheet comparing results of all 38 of our FDs.

On top of that we had many more visitors than ever including several families and kids.

Great Job everyone!!

Can't wait until next year.

Thanks and 73,

What to Bring to Field Day

Folks,

Attached is a resend of the checklist for everyone to consider bringing to FD.? If you have anything useful but? not on the list, please just bring it.

It's looking like this year's FD is going to be a wet one, so come prepared for some rain.? Fortunately there is a shelter on site that has plenty of room, so staying dry should not be a major problem.

Wire antenna set up is Friday, June 23 at 10:00 AM.? The triband yagi, rigs, logging network, and power distribution are planned to be set up Saturday morning starting at 10:00AM.? The contest itself runs from 2:00 PM Saturday to 2:00 PM Sunday.? Take down begins at 2:00 PM Sunday and should be complete by 4:00 PM.

All are welcome to our Field Day.? I hope you will join us for all or part of the weekend.

No official meetings in July or August, but we may plan a lunch at a park in one of those months, stay tuned.

Read about XARCs first Field Day here - and maybe read a few other musings from myself if you are interested, just go to our web page

Still looking for some other members to write some posts, see the article "How to Author a Post/Article" here - .? It can be anything ham radio related.? If you can't sign in, don't worry, we can get it fixed.? Contact me.

If you haven't seen my email to the RARA group, we have started a new email list for System Fusion in the Rochester area.? If you are interested, go to
