Long shot, but - If anyone has in their junkbox, a 3K ohm linear taper, chassis mount (standard 3/8 bushing and 1/4 shaft), but shaft needs to be at least 1.5 inches long , I will take it off your hands.? This Drake 2-C I'm refurbing has no sound until I hit about 2/3 scale, and then it is way too loud.? Have to use the RF gain for volume.
I took the pot apart, and the first 2/3 of the carbon trace is completely GONE.
These seem to be hard to come by these days, as I have been searching parts suppliers and surplus sites for a couple hours. Seems like an unusual value for a pot, but I guess Drake used them more than once.?? I probably will get as close as I can with a substitute if no luck, but thought I would ask first.
