Thanks?to all who attended our January meeting.? We had a good turnout.? Also for your patience
whilst I was attempting to get all the systems up and running in order to present, run the meeting, and have Zoom up and running.? We had some issues with Zoom, as Dave C has been allowing us to use his Zoom account, but there were issues with attempting to
login on a new PC.? It may be a continuing problem, but we'll see.
The main issue with the Zoom meeting was the inability of the online participants to hear some
of the audio of people not near the microphone.? It was somewhat mitigated during the "around the room" segment, where I actually carried the speaker/mic around the room as people spoke.? Unfortunately, this is not as easy when people in the room spontaneously
comment during a discussion.? Next month, maybe we'll try a better placement of the speaker mic to try and get better audio.? If not, maybe additional mics might help.
Fred W3MUD mentioned a recording of a Field Day contact we had with the International Space Station.?
I checked my resources, and I don't believe I have a copy of it.? If anyone does have a copy of this recording of that QSO, please send it along to me and I will post on the website.
