Re: First x25 call attempt
i called you and got connection reset by peer! something about your
setup seems to be set to deny inbound connections to port 1998.
maybe you need to define an access-list on the router?

Re: First x25 call attempt
hi john,
i've turned on the PAD and the router that it talks to, for the next
few hours. nothing's connected to it (yet?) but you are more than
welcome to dial it and get the "alerting"

First x25 call attempt
So I have my side mostly set up.
I believe Astrid's PAD is normally off-line but I'm not sure this is cause
of this debug output

Re: [VoIP] X.25 + C*NET
Oh wow! this looks slick.
I got a Digum TDP410P with 3 FXS and 1 FXO port for my birthday. It's
been a kick in the butt to play with. Someone gave me 3 modems that I'm
throwing on some retro hardware

Hi,
Plesae note that within the OCTOI (Osmocom Community ISDN) project
we're currently building a distributed over-the-internet ISDN network:

Re: [VoIP] X.25 + C*NET
That sounds really cool! :D
SGI Indy's interestingly have ISDN modems built in. I always thought
that might be a fun thing to tinker with.

A system to look at would be nice!
I don't have the cool 1980s experience. I started my career as a

Re: Joining the network
Ok that looks great! I just turned on the router and PAD, calls to
752.410.0x should connect now.
I have nothing plugged into the PAD at the moment so you won't get
much interesting out of it, sorry

I finally have an operational router.
The 7204VXR is finally set-up, and I've configured my CPE to forward TCP port 1998 to it. When scanned it from another host on the LAN, it seems to be listening on that port, after I configured X.25

Re: hello nerd(s?)
Hi!
I was hoping to have the 7204VXR ready by now, but I need to reset the enable password, and I still haven't found any of my USB-to-RS232 interfaces, or DB-25 to Cisco 8P8C adapters that I could

Hey, Astrid!
I'm sure more nerds will accrete over time.
This is the last week of classes for me, and I have a lot of stuff to finish-up, so the earliest I can dig my Cisco router out and get it
