I think that EUGENE is just not sending its own DTE address when making outgoing calls? - That is what I can see in the X25 call log.? I'm not sure how I can configure the outgoing address, though.? Some NCP magic is likely required.
I can set the local DTE address successfully like so:?set ho/x29 23000300/local_dte=23000200
Anyway, not all that important, it'd just be nicer if outbound calls would not be anonymous.

checked the NUA display and found the following...
I'm logging in on my own VAX V10031 with
$set host /x29 ownNUA
and get this on
?SYSTEM ? _NVA12: ? ? ? 00000224 ?NVA12: ? (TELEBAHN.22227500)
NUA is in
Now to your EUGENE machine...
$set host /x29 yourNUA
the result is
BERNHARD ?BERNHARD ? ? ?00000341 ?NVA13: ? (TELEBAHN.22227500)
NUA is still in
and back to my machine (now logging in as guest)...
$set host /x29 ownNUA
giving me
GUEST ? ?GUEST ? ? ? ? 00000225 ?NVA13: ? (TELEBAHN.)
NUA is missing
Are you not sending the respective data?
Did you ever saw your address on other X29 terminal connections?
Will check in more depth (protocol analyser) the telegrams send and received during initiation of the communication.
