TONY KAHN ON AEW/WWE SUPERSHOW: "I WOULD LOVE IF THAT WERE POSSIBLE"- Appearing on The Rich Eisen show, AEW President Tony Khan said that he would "love if it were possible" to have a joint AEW and WWE supershow. "I don't know if it is (possible), but it would be great if it was possible for the fans," Khan said answering the question of what are the chances of something like this happening. "There are challenging business things in the world of pro wrestling that I think would make that a very challenging thing to do," Khan then admitted. This declaration comes a few months after Khan labeled WWE as the evil juggernaut, the enemy they're at war with, and the "Harvey Weinstein of professional wrestling" in an interview on the NFL Network during the NFL draft. (Ratings credit: Wrestlenomics) DAMIAN PRIEST ADDRESSES NOT KICKING OUT AT MITB- Speaking to the New York Post in a story published today, WWE World Heavyweight champion Damian Priest addressed for the first time the situation from Money In The Bank, where he did not kick out after he was pinned by Seth Rollins and the referee actually had to break the count to prevent a title change. Priest was the subject of many ridicule online for the botch, with many online commentators saying that he forgot to kick out. "The idea that I forgot to kick out, that¡¯s not a thing. That¡¯s not a thing. We don¡¯t forget to kick out," Priest told the NY Post. "Twenty years in, I¡¯m pretty sure there is some kind of muscle memory there." Priest said that this was not a case of him forgetting and there was nothing outside that was supposed to happen. "It was a matter of there was a situation, but I¡¯m OK. Everybody¡¯s fine, the story continues," Priest said. The NY Post noted that the champion did not want to get into anything medical around the situation, saying it was personal. "It doesn¡¯t affect anything," Priest continued. "The show goes on and I think fans are very invested in everything that¡¯s going on. The ones that matter knew the situation and nobody thought twice about it. It was, move on."
