I posted this message on the linuxham group and just realized I should have posted this question here. I hope I can get some response on this group.

I run FLDIGI,?WSJTX,?and FLRIG?on a Windows?10 Pro Intel NUC. A couple of days ago, I downloaded the latest FLDIGI program, and after attempting to run it, my FLRIG software stopped recognizing the FT991A transceiver.
?I had previously used FLRIG with the FT991A by selecting?the FT991 rig instead of the FT991A, which never worked. I have reinstalled?all the pertinent drivers, and I can now run WSJTX?successfully by choosing the FT991 transceiver directly.??

Has anyone else encountered this issue before, and has there been any successful solutions??
I own numerous transceivers, and while FLRIG has had problems with several of these units, I've always managed?to get the software working.?
I'm looking forward to hearing back from you.

I would tend to think your settings may be overlapping comports.? updating fldigi should not affect flrig.? ?fldigi may not connect to flrig, but if the com port is available it should connect to the rig right away

just my observance

I resolved my FLRIG issues by deleting the config files for both fldigi and flrig and restarting the configuration. I compared and followed the setup from a friend's installation with success.?
