My engine will be like brand new next week when I pick it up from
the shop. My truck has been down for about a year and a half now. But
it's finally going to be back on the road soon. A couple of weeks ago
I rolled it out of the garage and cleaned the engine compartment of
all the grease ond oil, now it even shines. Last weekend I bought a
sandblaster from Sears and cleaned up the fan shroud and some misc.
brackets, and painted them. My recored radiator should be done
tomorrow. The only big expenses left are the clutch parts and a new
water pump. I'M SO HAPPY!
I'm also thinking of renting a scale so I can once and for all
settle the debate of how much a L6-226 engine actually weighs.
I can't wait to take my grandson for rides in my truck.
Life is truly good.
