As I've said before, electric conversions for various Willys models should make sense if systems are available as a "package" (with or without battery).? It seems to me that this is inevitable if enthusiasts have the up-front money to do the job. Nissan Leaf drivetrains and batteries are being adapted to the Morris Minor in the UK, EV West in California has come a long way with VW Beetle and Bus conversions in recent years.? And now GM apparently has seen 'the writing on the wall'... Chevy Bolt drivetrain and battery complete systems should be available within a year. When you consider that to rebuild a stock engine and transmission is becoming far more expensive than just a few years ago, when the time comes, I'd be interested in electrifying our Land Rover Discovery or Willys wagon.? Even our Suzuki Sidekick 4 door might be a candidate but it's probably not heavily built enough for the extra weight.? It all depends on cost of course.
