Web site doesn't work for me either. With a little more description we might
be able to figure this part out. What comes out of the back of the handle and
where does it lead to.
What you are describing sounds to me like an after market remote hook release
cable. I haven't seen my 48CJ in 8 years but I don't remember anything like
you are describing over there. I do believe my light switch was there but
that was all. Of course I had about 12 other switches in a panel added to the
right hand side. They included labels like Flame On, and Bilge On, I think it
must have been from an old PT Boat.
