Hi everyone. I have had another long break from the list as I don't have a computer at
school, but am home for a few days for Thanksgiving. I rebuilt my T90 using Rick's guide
(which is a wonderful write up, things went very smoothly due to it) So I found my T90 gasket
set, and there was the gaskets for the shift tower and the front bearing retainer, and what
appears to be a seal for the bearing retainer. It is felt, about 3/4 inch thick, and has a stiffer
side on one side of it. It looks as if it just gets sandwiched in between the retainer and the
shaft. The only thing is that the seal doesn't easily fit over the shaft. I am guessing that it
needs to be stretched over in order to seal good enough but I just want reassurance from the
group. Are the rubber ones mentioned in the rebuild guide better? I can't even remember
what was there originally, I took the thing apart like 4 years ago.
Thanks everybody,
Nathan
