Hi Duane,
thanks for the info on the footman loops. I'll keep lookin' on the
bolts, if I have to replace any, the modern bolts, washers and nuts
are all zinc plated, which doesn't paint so well, or look good mixed
with the originals.... what to do? what to do?

i know the footman loops were black, i remember this from my dads
46... the bolts i don't
know but i remember a few emails on this and i think they decided
that they were black...
i would think they would be painted the same color as the
surrounding metal.. but what
do i know i'm just an old guy with drs...(don't remember s__t)

Hi, I'm still working on my CJ2a, my question is... what was the
original finish
on the bolts & screws inside the cockpit? Were they blued, unpainted or
what? How 'bout the footman loops and screws? I could ask my uncle who
was a mechanic during the last big war but he probably would think I was
mad. I looked on the WT database but they only have lots of questions about
the wheel color. Thanks for any help.
