What a 64 year old vehicle without all original parts? Say it isn't so!
OK enough for that. I don't think the MBs ever had a CJ grill as delivered
to the military. Normally the grill is the last thing to be replaced.
However since the head lights for a MB may have been hard to find in the
past someone might have changed the grill, or someone might have wanted a MB
grill and made a PO an offer he couldn't refuse.

hello,
i just found and bought a 44' jeep. runs great. but has a few quirks
i'm not too sure about. the most obvious is that the headlights are
not recessed. they look like cj lights. was this ever standard, or
could it be that it was modified sometime during its life?
i would like to change them to a recessed type but if it was standard
i'll leave it alone. thank you, alex
