Re: [WT] Sliding Window Locks??

Greg Bryant

My '63 Wagon (VIN reconciled to show it in '62 production line) has the
same locks as in the photos someone shared except mine are on the bottom
versus top of the window.

Kyle,
there were two types of window locks. the early wagons had a lever
under the window. The later wagons 49 ish had a small lock that screws
onto the frame.

Hey All,

Just curious about the 'sliding window locks' I've seen from time to
time for the Wagon. How do these mount? I see a hole below the
window area on my 50' Wagon, but no other place to mount the lock.
How do they mount and did they come on later models of the Wagon, but
not mine?

On another note, I hope to have my 50' Wagon painted in the next
couple of months. Been busy with body work and what not. I'm having
a tough time deciding what to do with the gauges, as the only
original piece I have is the speedo. The dash had been cut to
accommodate standard 2 1/16 gauges by my Dad in the 70's - 80's.
It's fixable with a little work (he only cut the oval out above where
the stock gauges went), but I never had the original gauge set, so
I'd have to get a set and send them off for refurb. I may just go
with the original speedo and get some new gauges for the rest.
Decisions, decisions, ha-ha.

Thanks,
Kyle
