Unfortunately I don¡¯t own, or have played with a 9700. I can¡¯t give any specific advices or info on how to set it up.
The tricky thing on Dstar is the way you enter the callsigns. You need to make sure you have the right number of spaces between the call sign and the letter at the end of the fields RPT1, RPT2 and the field UR.
That is as far as I can go on advices on the IC9700.
