FYI - "Output Power vs. S-Units" and "100W vs. 5W" Comparisons Of Transmitted Power Results
Below are links to three YouTube videos done by QRP School, , where Cliff’s first video below explains received S-Unit signal strength differences in “Output Power vs. S-Units”. In his “100W vs. 5W” Parts 1 and 2 videos, he demonstrates actual received signal results at different levels of transmit power. Most of us know how finnicky propagation can be but Cliff’s videos explain and illustrate real time examples regarding the results of power differences that may surprise you. ? Output Power vs. S-Units (11 Minute video) ?- ? Part 1 “100w vs. 5w” (CW – 5 Minute video) - ? Part 2 “100w vs. 5w” (SSB – 14 Minute video) - ? 73, Bob – KG5SQJ

Have you every seen or heard of an emergency radio plan

Operators outside this county think I’m asking good?

I believe there is not a plan - nor has the County Judge?

Re: Information regarding RACES and ARES
I? It appears your a FOLLOWER NOT A LEADER SINCE YOU HAVE ACCEPTED THE STATUS QUO AND NOT QUESTIONED HOW THE ARES VS. RACES IS SUPPOSED TO OPERATE?
Have you every seen or heard of an emergency radio plan for Tarrant County? If you have any guts - give me a true- full answer and have you ever sought answers about radio operations in a “RACES” mode until now since I’m the bad guy. ?
Operators outside this county think I’m asking good? questions and deserve answers but none so far.
I believe there is not a plan - nor has the County Judge? ever been visited regarding this subject nor a policy set forth in regard to the ARRL radio members operating in the RACES mode in conjunction with the County Judge’s approval.
If you have ever owned or sat on a Board of a company you learn to ask troubling questions.

When are our great leaders going to answer the questionsasked - plan for operating radios, has the County Judge? been addressed about a working arrangement, etc.
Do you know the emergency radio regulations and seek to Involved new operators in a plan so they are available when Needed?
Have you taken the ?standard 4 FEMA courses for an emergency Amateur radio operation.
A GOOD PROGAM IS NOT KEEPING YOU IN THE SAND.

There is not a “current Fort Worth RACES organization” terminologyallowed by FCC regulations !?
?The current Fort Worth RACES organization is managed by the Fort Worth Emergency Management Agency, part of the Fort Worth Fire Department.? ?Thank you David N2DPF David KG5FPH On Apr 24, 2024, at 12:47?PM, Owen Anderson via groups.io <oaand@...> wrote:
?“RACES” who is the governmental authority to declare this type incident pursuant to Texas Regulations? Amateur Radio ? or County Authority?
Does radio act after a “RACES” incident has been declared by a governmental authority? If so what is the local ARRL’s plan that is public knowledge?
If it seems there is no “RACES” organization by FCC RULES? then why it appears by actions and written words there is an? “RACES” group for Tarrant County not “ARES”.
Please answer the above question’s and indicate where Tarrant Counties plan can be found as I have never found it by public means.
