Bob designed the ICOM and Yaesu brands Digital Signal Processor (DSP) audio management systems and he has more than once expressed his frustration that even though he designed those systems, both manufacturers’ default audio settings on their radios are all wrong.? For those of you interested in improving the audio quality of your transmitted signals, you might consider applying Bob’s recommended DSP settings for your radio.?
