LED and Resistor Sizing
I'm trying to avoid extra "stuff" because of space reasons, so I'm looking at putting two LEDs in series. If I have two white LEDs* that operate on about 4V at 20 mA connected in series, using a 1

Faulty ESU Decoders
To all users of LokSound 5 DCC decoders. I am an ESU decoder installer and I also do some programming. With all the decoders that I have installed in the last year, I connect TVS diodes in order

To Steve's point: I agree to an extent about clutter. But, anybody trying to keep up with all the dedicated lists won't have any time for their railroad! Some will completely miss hearing about new

I like Wouter's suggestion, too. I'm just concerned product reviews might take up too much of your time, and conversely, that people will complain if you don't cover some product they think should

Wouter, I like your idea. Thanks everyone for your comments.? I'll wait several more days for more comments before really starting to do anything. Allan

Not sure on new product alerts, but leaning towards "no, thanks". A solution that would work for all is to have one new thread "NEW PRODUCT!" to cover them all, allowing anyone not interested to just

Aargh!! And in my previous message that should be "Beta version", not "Beat version". And when I mention having to grind something down in order to mount the board, I'm speaking of the 4 posts

#New Product - Soundtraxx Blunami #New
All, If you haven't heard, Soundtraxx came out with a new variant of the Blunami.? It is an 8-function, drop-in intended mainly for HO diesels. It is the BLU-PNP8.? I'm sure you can get creative

I need a circuit dwg or explanation on how to connect the parts to the wheel pickups in the car. What is the resistor value and voltage for the 100 microfarad cap. Thx

Re: DCC Capacitors/diodes
If you want small and cheap, you can't beat using one 1N4148 or 1N4150 instead of a bridge rectifier. Used with a cap of 100 microFarads (uF) or so, the same resistors can be used as with the bridge
