The Colorado 14er Event Task Force has been meeting recently has decided to make two changes to the event this year.

1. To emphasize the activation of any Colorado SOTA summit during the event, we are changing the name to the Colorado 14er & Mountaintop Event. Not a big change but it should tag the event more appropriately.

2. Previously, the primary two days of the event were the first Saturday/Sunday of August with two bonus days on Friday and Monday. The participation on Monday has been low, so we considered dropping that day. However, there is a lot of interest in being able to participate on weekdays (and not the busy weekend). And some people just can't get enough days of mountaintop operating! Ultimately, we decided to still have two bonus days but shifted them to Thursday and Friday. So the dates for the 2025 event are:

Primary days: Sat August 2 and Sunday August 3
Bonus days: Thursday July 31 and Friday August 1
