Re: [voip-wx-net-control] VoIP Hurricane Net Will Activate Wednesday 10/9/24 1 PM EDT Through Early Thursday Afternoon 10/10/24 for Major Hurricane Milton and Impacts to Florida
The KC5FM-R node combines and connects other modes including DMR, DSTAR, Hamshack hotline among others. Depending on the mode the station is coming in on, the audio may not be as good as we'd like but it allows those connections to be available. Because of those other modes, it makes it a bit harder to check out the audio across all those means. We are working on a better combined solution to bring these modes in the future.
Many thanks for the additional links you provided below for listen-only capability. I will see if I can update the activation announcement with that info. Thanks for being there, in the background, providing these resources for our net over many years.

Is anyone else hearing this....the KC5FM node has low and semi distorted audio.
I wish that everyone using these nodes would properly setup their audio levels well in advance of events like this. It's frustrating when one link has audio that is too loud, too low or distorted. Everyone should be using the audio test servers to properly setup their link audio.
To add to the listen only methods for these nets, I have been using broadcastify for a few years now. The link is below.
We are also simulcasting this on the Zello app. People on Zello can listen but will not be able to talk back into the network. The link is:
