The "new format"
Are you having as much trouble as I am, trying to find anything in the group?? I got an e-mail notice about new comments in "Hospitals and Sanatoriums"...I cannot find where the comment is...nor does clicking the link in my mail take me to the photo.
It looks like Yahoo is trying to Facebook its way out of existence. John H |
Hello All,
John might be referring to someone who posted something then changed their mind and deleted it. There have also been changes to the VanishingTucson YouTube page. Watching videos is still easy, but uploading may not be possible using our old public password. Please send your video clips to me, and I'll upload them for you. Also still willing to come pick up your old 8mm movies and convert them to digital. Speaking of format changes, I'd rather be doing a call-in radio show than a website, but I need to find a co-host who has lots of good memories and stories. Please contact me privately if you're interested, or know a good candidate. Thanks, Carlos |

Formats are constantly changing, and websites come and go. Try not to worry about it. For now, a Yahoo Group still allows more high resolution photos than any other social media site, and more searchable messages than any blog. From the day I started this site in 2004, I have been less concerned with internet popularity, and more concerned with the people we aren't reaching at all: the last of the older generation who don't have computers, or barely use them. That's why I'm still interested in the oldest, most stubbornly unchanging electronic medium: AM radio. Once we get a weekly VanishingTucson call-in radio show going, I'd be glad to popularize it across all internet platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Redit, etc.,etc. So please keep trying to find me a native or nearly native radio co-host. I'll do the rest. Meanwhile, I'm so grateful to all of you who have put up with Yahoo's various problems over the years. Even those who have gone away have left behind great messages which could last forever. Thanks, Carlos --- In vanishingtucson@..., "MisterCopacetic" <mistercopacetic@...> wrote:

Carlos, you are so wonderful!? Thank you for doing this, and staying on it for so long.? I love that last sentence...about messages left behind... hugs and kisses, Chill ---In vanishingtucson@..., <mistercopacetic@...> wrote: Hello All, again...
