I was just playing around on-line and you're right, the area around the
Manning House, etc. is the Snob Hollow area.

I've heard and know some older ladies that still call an area 'Snob

They say it is the neighborhood where you take Oracle Rd. south where
the name changes twice to Granada Ave. Its south of St Mary's/6th
toward the TCC/Downtown, till Alameda, and possibly to Congress.
Those
old well built homes for those few blocks. I think some are law
offices
now, and some home were taken down for parking garages. Is this the
same area where the bones were recently uncovered?
Not sure if this is the same 'Snob Hollow' as in the picture. But it
is
still for some. What year is the picture?
Hope you are all having a good day!
