Re: Snob Hollow

re: a friend is looking for some history on Snob Hollow
HI, Catherine and all:
Here is some stuff I found during a quick peruse of the interweb:
- Cindy "TheTravelGal", "Historic Arizona: The Historic Mansions of Main Avenue", posted 15-JUN-2014 on Exploration Vacation website -- -- details on the histories of some of the noteworthy houses.
- Ken Scoville, "Another Piece of History Lost in Tucson", 02-JUL-2015 _Tucson Weekly_ -- -- scroll down to the fifth paragraph for the Snob Hollow information (although it is all a good read)
- Michael Kleen, "Tucson¡¯s Mysterious Manning House", posted 27-MAY-2015 on Mysterious Heartland website -- -- covers Levi Manning and the Manning House (possibly haunted) including this tidbit "One of Manning¡¯s development projects turned the area around his home into an upscale subdivision known as Snob Hollow"
- Tony Davis, "House was just one part of Manning's grand reach", 31-MAR-2013 _Arizona Daily Star_ -- -- again, not much on Snob Hollow's growth or houses other than "The [Manning H]ouse itself was built amid grain fields that Manning later helped develop into an upscale subdivision known as Snob Hollow." Manning House was apparently at one point in the floodplain of the Santa Cruz River. Fun fact: I thought I read somewhere that when Howell Manning Jr. died in an auto accident, Howell Sr. (son of Levi) sold a chunk of the Canoa Ranch to developers (including Del Webb?) to create what is now the first part of Green Valley (as many of you likely know, Canoa Ranch has an interesting history). I may be misremembering.
Best wishes for a peaceful new year to all,
Les.

Carlos (or anyone else
who might know) a friend is looking for some history on Snob
Hollow and was wondering if there's a history write up
about it.? Used to live in Tucson and grew up in the
area.? I assume something has been done.? Any links would
be appreciated!? Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all
of you!
