Hi Bob,
I like how the shop nearest the plane put up a sign that says "It's
not my plane".
Don's Hot Rod Shop ought to put up a sign that says "it's not my
lumberjack". Or if it is Don's, he ought to put up a plaque or something.
I surfed the web, including roadside sites (like "huge beings")
looking for the origin. Then I came across an interesting official
City of Tucson proposal to create "The Rolling Stone Trail". The
trail would honor historic landmarks along Stone. The lumberjack is
listed, but no info is given.
Someone here has GOT to know.

I haven't the foggiest where he comes from (things
like this are
always shrouded in mystery, aren't they?), but a few
years ago while
surfing the Net for "roadside attractions," I found
him on a neat site
called "Huge Beings":
And the neat thing about him is that, unlike a
number of other huge
beings, he has a name: Mr. Glenn Stone. (How
appropriate!)
