Before the North end of Swan was developed, it ended in a huge turnout that was popular during the late '60;s and early '70's.
And many years ago, you could drive up to the turn out at Sabino Canyon. That was popular too until they started locking the gates at night.
Also A Mountain was popular but could get crowded. ;-)
