Hoping this will help bring back some order to our area!
Hi Valley Villagers,?
Please sign the attached petition to incorporate Valley Village, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Toluca Lake and NoHo Arts.?
This may be bold but I think it is the only way for us to take back our neighborhood and get our safety and cleanliness back.?
All the best,
Marilyn Kay

Seems like a good idea, but how do we know that the locals here won't simply parrot the whims of Garshitty & crew?? Is there any indication that if this were to succeed, that rational people would gain control?

Incorporate Valley Village, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Toluca Lake and NoHo Arts!?started this petition to??and?4 others
It¡¯s time to take action now! Incorporate Sherman Oaks, Valley Village, Studio City, Toluca Lake, and NoHo Arts!
The City of Los Angeles has been on the decline for decades. With rising crime, unreasonable police response times, unclean streets, declining school standards, and a general disregard for our valley communities, it¡¯s time to take back control of our neighborhoods from Los Angeles City Hall.
88 Cities within Los Angeles County have already incorporated, including the cities of Burbank, Beverly Hills and Glendale. They are clean, safe, and their residents are content in knowing that their voices are heard and taken seriously.
These days much of our neighborhoods are barely walkable. Unfortunately, the police often find their hands tied and can¡¯t arrest criminals, even with clear and incontrovertible evidence. Our streets and underpasses are barely cleared of trash.
?If you want to take back your city, your life and your safety from the hands of City Hall, sign this petition. Be a part of the solution today.

Why was Encino excluded ? On Tue, May 25, 2021 at 2:16 PM Bonnie Kurnick via <bkurnick=[email protected]> wrote:

I can't say why Encino wasn't included, but having lived there for 30 years until I moved to Valley Village, my guess would be that the element that has taken over that neighborhood is not particularly civic minded.? They've allowed Encino to fall into serious disrepair. Also, there's a lot of absentee landlord business there: everything from Burbank to Balboa to Lindley to Ventura is flooded with non-English-speaking and low income renters.? The feral human population is burgeoning, using the planters on Ventura Blvd.as their toilets. What you?do? see in Encino are lower class establishments, like Ross Dress for Less, Chik-a-Filet, Norm's, Target and lots of signs in other languages. All the upscale stores were gone before the hoax.
This is not a community that has anything left to save. -- ?
