My understanding is that in the very unlikely event that this door-to-door stuff happens, HIPAA won't protect you, but quite possibly, the 4th and 5th amendments will.? Regardless, it sounds to me like a very desperate ploy to claw on to as much authoritarian power as possible. --

IMPORTANT CITY COUNCIL MEETING TOMORROW AT 10AM regarding lifting the prohibition against no camping on sidewalks law
? ? Hi All, ? There is a VERY important City Council meeting coming up on TOMORROW morning starting at 10 AM. Councilmembers Lee and Busciano have been trying to get the Council to lift the prohibition against enforcing the no camping on sidewalks law. Many of the other members are fighting to keep it from coming up for a vote so they cannot be accused of voting either for or against it by those for or against it. We need as many people as possible to call into the meeting and voice our request that the Council allow the measure to come up for a vote. The phone number is 669-254-5252. The system will ask for a meeting ID and that number is 160 535 8466#.
The item in particular is Agenda Item 55. ? The system will cue you when it’s your turn to speak. ? You are entitled to 1 minute on Item 55 and 1 minute of general comments, which would give you 2 minutes total. Please state that for the safety of ALL involved, including the homeless, that we need to have the no tents in daytime law enforced once again. Over 40,000 Engaged in Housing Element Concept Outreach In late 2020 the City launched the “Concepts” phase for the 2021-2029 Housing Element.?This plan phase focused on six concepts guiding the Housing Element Update that were drafted?based on state law and the City Planning collected during the "Vision" phase of its outreach. The Concepts focus on how the Housing Element will address housing-related issues in the City. All six concepts respond to urgent needs: addressing the housing shortage, advancing racial equity and access to opportunity, and promoting sustainability and resilience.? During this phase the department of City Planning engaged with an unprecedented number of people through several targeted outreach efforts, including three webinars, a statistically valid poll, and a public survey. Each of these is discussed in more detail in the .?In addition to these efforts the city held a meeting of the full , attended six Neighborhood Council alliance meetings, and held several smaller stakeholder meetings with community organizations.? About the Housing Element?
