- INTERNAL: Improved and automated the tooling around generating, maintaining and verifying the language translations of the site.

Changes to the site this week:
September 23, 2024:
- NEW: In new Deleted event activity log entries, include the date of the event that was deleted.
- BUGFIX: When parsing a calendar delete event notice emailed from Outlook to the group, we were not updating the repeat event object correctly.
- BUGFIX: When making minor changes to a repeating event (like name/desc/location), we were deleting and re-creating the underlying single events, which caused any existing RSVPs to be deleted. We now maintain all existing RSVPs.
September 24, 2024:
- BUGFIX: If an event or repeated event was deleted from the calendar, that deletion was not reflected in the ICS file. This would cause any subscribed calendars to become out of sync with the 开云体育 calendar.
- BUGFIX: Changes to a single instance of a repeating event were sometimes not reflected correctly in ICS files.
- NEW: In new Modified Event activity log entries for single events, include the date of the event that was modified.
September 27, 2024:
- BUGFIX: Fix Outlook formatting issues for Upcoming Events email.

- CHANGE: For Enterprise groups, use their custom logo graphic for oembed images.
September 18, 2024:
- CHANGE: Rolled back change that enforced a group's attachment settings on emails to the +owner address. Once again, all attachments are sent through the +owner address.
- BUGFIX: When viewing +owner messages on the website, attachments were not displayed properly.
September 20, 2024:
- CHANGE: Improved the formatting of the Upcoming Events email.
- CHANGE: Improved our sanitizing of CSS styles when displaying emails to allow more styles to be included and hopefully better display of complicated HTML email.

Changes to the site this week:
August 27, 2024:
- INTERNAL: We now handle large file uploads in the Files section better, and the previous 100MB file size limit has been increased to 2GB.
- CHANGE: I have changed the file picker widget in the Files section. It now includes a progress bar during uploads.
August 28, 2024:
- CHANGE: Now we lazy load images when viewing the archives.
- INTERNAL: Increased our rate limiting settings, which were getting tripped by loading lots of images.
- BUGFIX: Fixed several small HTML issues in various message archive pages.
- BUGFIX: When navigating between pages on the website, we were inadvertently re-fetching all images from the previous page.
August 30, 2024:
- CHANGE: Rotated the DKIM signature and set a timeout. Investigated implementing an automatic rotation system to thwart a recent spamming issue.
- CHANGE: Changed the wording of the new Files upload widget to "Drag and drop files here, or click to choose files".

- BUGFIX: In some instances when a member was viewing a database table, the 'View Row' button would not appear.
August 20, 2024:
- BUGFIX: Fix styling of Open/Closed chat dropdown.
- BUGFIX: Be smarter about displaying the sender in "Non-member attempted to send message" activity log entries.
August 22, 2024:
- INTERNAL: I was not limiting the resource usage of ImageMagick when resizing/converting images. An SVG file in a message with massive dimensions was causing ImageMagick to exhaust memory and disk space on various machines.
August 23, 2024:
- BUGFIX: Fix modal footer button vertical alignment when buttons wrap on narrow screens.
- CHANGE: When banning a domain that's already been banned, display a notice saying as such.
- BUGFIX: When viewing a Past Member, the breadcrumbs led to broken URLs.
- BUGFIX: Deleted account activity log messages now longer link to the user (which was broken).
- NEW: When unsubscribing from a group via the new, now pop up a dialog box where the member can enter a reason why they're leaving.
- CHANGE: A group's handle attachments setting now applies to +owner messages as well.

- BUGFIX: When entering italicized, bolded, or underlined text in the editor before either a person's signature or a quoted reply, spaces would be ignored.
- CHANGE: Some broken email systems generate emails with Message-ID headers that are improperly formatted. I've updated our code to be able to parse these header lines. This will fix some cases where topics are split when they should not have been.
- BUGFIX: Search was unavailable on the /subgroupmembers page when viewing on narrow screens.
- BUGFIX: When clicking a repeating event activity log entry, the Organizer fields may have been pre-populated incorrectly.
- CHANGE: Our email parsing library would correctly error out on emails that incorrectly had quoted-printable sections with very long lines (quoted-printable lines should only be a max of 76 characters). Now we are more liberal in parsing those.

- BUGFIX: On smaller screens, breadcrumbs now scroll horizontally if they can't fit, instead of wrapping to the next line.
- BUGFIX: On smaller screens, in Files, there was extra whitespace to the right of the files table.
- CHANGE: In the Wiki, the navigation buttons have been re-arraigned to better fit mobile devices and reduce clutter.

- BUGFIX: Improved the formatting of the month view of the calendar on mobile so that if a day had more than 3 events, the "+N events" isn't moved into the row below.
- BUGFIX: Fixed some dark mode colors in the calendar.
- INTERNAL: Updated the calendar code to the latest version of FullCalendar.
- CHANGE: In the calendar month view, changed how pop ups are done. To view an event, instead of hovering, you now click the event, to be consistent with how it works on mobile. The displayed event modal is now better formatted.
- CHANGE: Added back the
Added By information when viewing an event.
- CHANGE: Changed Account to Settings for consistency with other services.

Changes to the site this week:
May 6, 2024:
- BUGFIX: On Firefox, using the Month dropdown in the datepicker would sometimes flash and not work.
- BUGFIX: Selecting a direct add notice was broken.
- BUGFIX: The font size selector in the editor had typos causing it to no work properly.
- CHANGE: Moderators with billing permission who were not the designated payer would not receive billing notifications including: downgrade notifications, failed payment notifications, and paid invoices. They will receive those notifications going forward.
May 8, 2024:
- BUGFIX: When a Outlook user sent a calendar invite to a group, and then modified that event, a duplicate event was created in the group calendar.
May 9, 2024:
- BUGFIX: In some cases, colors and styles were not kept when pasting into the new editor.

April 23, 2024:
- BUGFIX: In some instances, when sending a message to a member via /posttosub using the +owner address, the email would actually be sent from the owner's email address.
April 24, 2024:
- CHANGE: I've made a change to the bounce algorithm. Previously if we received no additional bounces for 4 days, we cleared the bounce counts for a user. I've added the additional condition that we must have had at least one successful delivery after the last bounce received, before we clear the bounce counts. This is to address the issues of people not bouncing because they are members of groups that have very little traffic.
April 25, 2024:
- CHANGE: Now, when a pending member leaves a group before their membership is approved, the activity log entry will be 'Pending member N left'.
- CHANGE: Rolled out new user interface changes.
April 26, 2024:
- CHANGE: Miscellaneous fixes/updates of the new interface changes.

- CHANGE: We are now re-writing the From line of all emails sent to Gmail hosted accounts. Gmail is starting to enforce DKIM domain alignment, which is forcing us to do this.
April 15, 2024:

- SYSADMIN: Completed the warm up of the new mail servers and they are fully in production.
April 17, 2024:
- CHANGE: Revamped pagination and added canonical tags to hopefully improve Google crawling of public groups.

- BUGFIX: Remove any spaces within a base64 part of a message before trying to decode it. There shouldn't be any, but some email is arriving with spaces prepended to each line of base64 data.

April 1, 2024:
- CHANGE: Email unsubscribe requests must now be properly DKIM signed.
- CHANGE: We now include a 'Resent-From' header whenever we include a 'Resent-Date' header, as required by RFC 5322.
April 2, 2024:
- BUGFIX: The Organizer field was sometimes different for individual events vs the repeat event declaration in an ICS file, which caused parsing errors for some CalDAV servers, and was against the spec.
April 5, 2024:
- NEW: We now handle Outlook/Google Calendar RSVPs for repeating events. A bug yet to be fixed is that this can sometimes generate multiple RSVP notification emails.
