What is the best way to conduct a statistical test of the difference in average geodesic distance between a network at two points in time? UCINET has a command that allows a t-test for the difference in densities, but not for other network measures like distance or connectedness. I am assuming that the standard deviation reported along with the average geodesic distance cannot be used for these purposes. Does UCINET allow the use of the same bootstrapping technique used for testing hypotheses about differences in densities to test hypotheses about differences in other measures like average geodesic distance?
