Urbana Country Dancers!
*JAN JAM* is our biggest event of the year. Dancers from Chicago,
Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and elsewhere
(Alaska?) will join us. The weather is perfect and we look forward
to seeing you and your friends tonight and tomorrow!
On Mon Dec 29, 2008, Jonathan Sivier called:
The 21st annual Champaign-Urbana January Jam (Chambana Jan Jam)
will be held this Friday and Saturday at the Phillips Center. The
featured callers for the weekend will be Ron Buchanan and Jerome
Grisanti. The bands will be Big Bluestem, Geoff Seitz and Friends
and U4.
The Friday night dance from 8 to 11 pm will feature Jerome Grisanti
and U4. Then there will be a large variety of workshops on Saturday
starting at noon. These will be followed by a potluck dinner at
6 p.m. The Saturday evening dance will begin at 7 p.m. with Ron
Buchanan calling. Geoff Seitz and Friends will play from 7 until
10 p.m., followed by Big Bluestem from 10:30 to 1 a.m. There will
also be open mic calling and jamming.
Admission prices are as follows.
Friday evening: $10, $8 (students), Kids 12 and under free
Saturday afternoon: $12, $10 (students), Kids 12 and under free
Saturday evening: $15, $13 (students), Kids 12 and under free

* 3-4pm Contra Games led by Jerome Grisanti
* 4:30-5:30pm Community band and open calling
* 6-7pm Potluck Dinner
* 7-10pm Ron Buchanan w/Geoff Seitz and Friends
* 10:30pm-1am Ron Buchanan w/Big Bluestem
