Urbana Country Dancers
Schottische is the best couple dance ever invented for expressing mental
flexibility and creativity. Its basic footwork creates a metronome that
is satisfying with no embellishments, requires no turning when dancers
want a break after a dizzying waltz, and has multiple places for a lot
of turns for those who like spinning. This class will cover its unique
basic steps, and go over the simple vocabulary that can be combined into
a wide variety of dance moves. To dance a schottische is to be a genius
on the dance floor!
