There will be a D-Day hangar dance fundrasier at Chanute on June 6. This will be a 40's ballroom dance with the Sande Hackel Orchestra (a great 40s band爎ecommended by Mark and Diana Rich) but open to the community so not a formal ballroom dance such as you'd attend at the Regent.

I don't know if two big dances the same weekend would be too much for people or if a contra and 40s dance would be different enough that it would not matter. Would June 12 work for an Anderson barn dance? I also wondered about a weekend in May so we could do the May Day dance idea.
