Door stop


 

Is this the original door stop? Or is here a smart solution for??


 

Looks like it worked for them, just fine, for quite a while!! Not bad enough yet to correct.
Looks like there had been a wider protection bumper piece on the wall in the past.
Whatever!!


 

You could get a piece of aluminum sheet at Home Depot and cut out a piece maybe 3”x6”, then pop rivet it onto the door over the mess that’s there already. That would spread the load so the bumper wouldn’t damage the door any further. The more you can spread the load the better. I would suggest putting some sealant under the aluminum to keep water out of the door.


 

Originally there was a peg that stuck out from the door that went into that rubber bumper to hold the door open. I think a hole in your door makes fixing it imperative.? There are plenty of RV door stops available online. You need to find the right size. Fix the door or you won't have anything to attach the peg side to.?
