1991 Warrior - What is this thing in the taillight wiring?

Anybody have any idea what this thing is?

It's the thing marked "??" in about the center of the picture.? It's located on the house underside between the grey and black tanks, about 2 feet forward of the rear bumper.? Out one side is the taillight wiring and the other side goes forward (somewhere).

Still working on troubleshooting my clearance light problem... tail lights and front and rear marker lights all work as does the trailer light connector... I know this, because while metering the trailer light connector I shorted it out and blew the fuse (lucky I have plenty of spare fuses).

Re: 1991 Warrioir clearance lights

i would say they are all connected at the left tail light

1991 Warrioir clearance lights

Anybody know how the clearance lights on a 1991 Winnebago Warrior are wired in?

All of the upper clearance lights, front and back, have quit working.? All the other lights (head, tail, stop, turn, etc.) all work including the bottom clearance lights left and right.

Fuses are all good.? I assume the clearance lights are controlled by the tail light fuse?

Re: 1991 Warrior passenger side view mirror brace

Yeah, Doug, I was going to suggest the same thing. Once you paint it, no one will know the difference.?

Re: 1991 Warrior passenger side view mirror brace

My RV guy fabricated these out of tubing on both sides for me and we added a larger mirror.? This way it is super secure.?

Thanks, Linda and rz.? I've found a few including stainless steel that look like they might be adaptable.

LS>> How long is that brace.

It's 16 inches.? It's actually different from the one shown in the photo I sent with the original post.

Goggle RV mirror support brace. There are tons of them. Some of them adjustable?

What does a control arm have to do with a mirror bracket? I'm not home. How long is that brace. I'll look around

1991 Warrior passenger side view mirror brace

Had a bit of a mishap with my 1991 Warrior, hit something with the right side view mirror and broke the center cross brace. Oddly enough that's the only thing that broke; the mirrors themselves came out of it fine.

This photo shows the driver side brace, what I need is the passenger side brace (might be the same, not sure).? Anyone know where I can get one, or perhaps any of you have one for sale?

Re: Broken inline fuse cartridge by engine

Oh, Tika, nice to read from you again. You've been helpful to me in the past, going back to 2012. At age 79, I've slowed down a lot, with our Sunrader covered most of the year. Last time we had it on the road, a short 3 day trip, was a year ago.
I'll watch for what others may say, and enough may have been said. If no more, I'll try a 6 amp and see what happens, or doesn't happen. ?Tom

Re: Broken inline fuse cartridge by engine

I have a fuse cartridge like that on my 22re. If I recall, when I had to replace it, it was a 6 amp fuse. ?That was like 20 years ago so, so I could be wrong. ?I also can¡¯t remember what I was told about what it was for.
Maybe other folks here can explain.

Re: Broken inline fuse cartridge by engine

best guess- a light in the cab to tell when coach battery is charging.?
?best to follow the wire to see what it powers to know amp rating for fuse

Broken inline fuse cartridge by engine

On our 1987 Sunrader, with the 22R-E, I found this wire disconnected because the fuse cartridge clasp broke. When I saw it, the fuse was gone. In the Spring of 2012, when I had stopped by Sunrader Bob's for another electrical diagnosis, he was at first puzzled by the unusual amount of wiring under the hood, not the normal setup. So here's an attempt to figure out the unorthodox.?

On the photo of the electrical device with attached wiring, it's the black wire, coming from the upper right, going out the bottom left. The other photo shows the broken fuse cartridge, with the wire going into the firewall. Any idea what for and what size fuse? Thank you. ?Tom

Re: 1991 Warrior - Replacing house thermostat (NOT engine thermostat)

I just used a household thermostat, probably like some of the ones that have already been suggested. That said, I find it also helps to have a little 12v fan running to move/mix the air around from the floor to the ceiling and from the front to the back of the coach. two works better than one.?

Re: 1991 Warrior - Replacing house thermostat (NOT engine thermostat)

I don't have the thermostat connected to the air conditioner.

Yes, Rick, it's just a passive on-off thermo-controlled switch that works fine with the Hydro Flame propane furnace that came with my 1990 Sea Breeze. I like being able to see the digital temp readout without having to figure out the setting and current temp from the old original analog version that came with the furnace.

Thanks, Bob.? I see that one controls both heat and cool.? I assume it will work with heat-only systems.? Also I see something about 24V systems.? That's not any sort of requirement, is it??
