Subject: [toyota-campers] Use Toyota oil filters only.
Toyota dealer filters have a check valve
to stop the oil from running back down in-
to the pan when the engine is shut off.
On start up oil is instantly supplyed to
the valves and timing chain.
Cheap after market filters, especially "Fram"
and the ones supplyed by the quick oil change
houses, do not have these check valves and
will cause excessive wear on your engine during
cold start ups. (Even worse for RVs that set
for long periods.)
If you must use the quick change shop, bring
you own Toyota filter and have them install it.

PS the Toyota oil filter only costs $3 more
than the cheapy.
